Former Armitage Campaign Manager Joins Malloy Campaign
Daytona Beach, FL (August 11, 2008) - The staff and volunteers of Malloy for Congress are motivated by a vision of a more decent America and by a shared belief that Clyde Malloy can help to make that vision a reality. This shared purpose helps nurture an environment of mutual respect.
We were thus shocked to find out about the petty infighting that accompanied the departure of Faye Armitage's campaign manager, Brien Dawson. The public airing of a campaign's dirty laundry is as far as can be imagined from the collegial environment of the Malloy Campaign.
In past contacts with Mr. Dawson, our staff has found him to be a consummate professional and feel he is an asset to any campaign. It is, therefore, with pride that we announce that Mr. Dawson is joining the campaign as deputy finance director for field fund-raising.
Mr. Dawson had this to say:
"After days of personal attacks, including fabrications and breaches of privacy, I have come to question Ms. Armitage's integrity, character, and her ability to run a general election campaign. The kindness and compassion that Mr. Malloy has extended to myself and my family has been a source of light during a dark time. I want to thank him for seeing past my mistakes and giving me the chance to help this district get the type of representation it deserves. It takes an extraordinary man to do what Mr. Malloy has done and that's why I have decided to become part of his team."
Together, we will continue to pursue our aim of retiring John Mica and helping to end the era of earmarks and special-interest government. |

John Mica has a huge war chest and wealthy corporate contributors.
They think that Florida belongs to them and that you do too.
Taking America back requires sacrifice and commitment on your part.
