As Democrats win three special Congressional elections in a row, the Republican National Congressional Committee has told its members that they are on they're own. All over America, the rats are deserting the sinking ship that is the Republican Party. 2008 is a great year to be a Democrat. But, even with the odds against them, the GOP continues to wield clout with corporate pirates who want to hijack our public funds, public lands, and public trust. We still have to fight tough election battles all over America, and none is tougher that here in Florida's Seventh District.

A lot of you have contributed to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and this is great. The results are showing in the races that have been targeted by the DCCC. However, the DCCC has not targeted our Seventh District race against John Mica. They take your money and spend it out of the district. Democrats here in the Seventh are not receiving any support from the DCCC at this point. We have to rely on local individual supporters like you to build the resources we need to defeat John Mica.

In order to beat John Mica, we have to start now. If you wait until the August 26th Primary to get involved, it may be too late. We will be too far behind John Mica's corporate backers and his massive public-relations machine to catch up. This may be our only opportunity to stop John Mica and regain this seat. The timing is right today, and we have to take advantage of the current political environment, but you have to act now. I am imploring you to get involved today.
