About Clyde
Clyde Malloy was born and raised in a working-class family in a small town in rural North Carolina. He attended East Carolina University where he obtained a BS in Political Science. He briefly worked at a marketing firm and as a substitute teacher.
While serving in the Broward County Sheriff's Department for two years, he met his wife, Bobbie, and moved to San Jose, California, to be near her family. He was hired by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety as a public safety officer. Public safety officers in Sunnyvale are trained professional police officers and fire fighters, and are required to attend a state certified fire academy and a state certified police academy.
While employed with the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, Clyde spent 6 years assigned to the patrol division, 3 years assigned to the fire division, and 6 years assigned to the investigation division. While in the investigations division, he specialized in property crimes, investigating high tech crimes, trade secrets cases, intellectual property crimes, white collar crimes, grand thefts, and commercial burglaries.
Clyde: "An ability to read people, compile evidence, and analyze information, made me very good at my job. My ability to talk to people and listen to what they were saying, or, in some cases, not saying, made me very good at interviewing suspects and witnesses."
After 15 years, Clyde took medical retirement because of an on-the-job injury and moved to Ormond Beach, becoming involved in rehabilitating properties commercially and for friends. Clyde and Bobbie have maintained their religious roots by attending the House of God's Glory located on US1 in Ormond Beach.
